Everything you wanted to know about the Mayfaire Renaissance Festival but were afraid to ask!!
Directions: The Mayfaire Renaissance Festival is easy to find. Mayfaire is located at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds in beautiful Marshall, Michigan. Marshall is centrally located, so you can take either I94 from the East or the West, of I69 from the North or the South. Download a pdf file with directions and something special.
Off I-94 to Mayfaire exit the highway at Exit 110 and turn south into Marshall, when you come to the fountain go 3/4 of the way around the circle, and head east. Turn left at Exchange St. and follow the signs to Mayfaire.
Off I-69 to Mayfaire exit the highway at exit 36 and head east. When you come to the fountain Jog around the fountain and continue east. Turn left at Exchange St. and follow the signs to Mayfaire.
How long should I plan to visit?
With so much to see and do at the Festival the average visit is 5 to 8 hours. Many of our visitors choose to return every day to enjoy more of the atmosphere and see things they might previously have missed.
If I leave the festival can I get back in?
As long as you have your hand stamped by our gate attendants you may re-enter the festival on that day.

Weapons Policy: We do not allow concealed weapons on Festival grounds. Any swords, rapiers, edged or pointed, etc. that are worn as part of your costume MUST BE SHEATHED AND PEACE TIED. You can secure them with leather straps or zip ties. No unsecured weapons will be allowed into the Festival site.
Mayfaire Renaissance Festival is open rain or shine, cold or hot. All the festival entertainment will be performed as scheduled unless conditions threaten the safety of the participants.
What kind of food do you have?
Mayfaire Renaissance Festival offers an exciting assortment of food, drinks & other tasty morsels for most diets. Sample a delectable array of old-world treats like turkey legs, steak-on-a-stick, and so much more.
What is your policy on outside food & drink?
Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the festival gates; however you may bring in food for infants and toddlers.

I'd like to become an actor at the faire, but how?

Patrons are not allowed to bring pets, but service animals are always welcome. Merchants and performers may bring pets as long as they are leashed or otherwise under the owner's control.
Costumes, Garb etc:
Mayfaire Renaissance Festival encourages everyone to dress in period clothes and enhance the atmosphere of a pre-1600 village. Get out your best clothes, get involved, and join in the fun each and every day!

Renaissance Faire enthusiasts rejoice! We've made visiting Mayfaire easier and more affordable for our guests who return every day. Click here for details on purchasing your season pass today. Season passes are non-transferable and may require a valid photo ID.
Can I take pictures and videotape?
Mayfaire Renaissance Festival policy is to allow videotaping for personal and media use only. Please respect performers' and merchant's requests to have recording devices turned off during their show. Otherwise please feel free to use your digital or 35mm camera to capture the fun.
Note: Commercial photography and filming activities are conducted at the Mayfaire Renaissance Festival. You may appear in the resulting pictures or films that may be used in connection with advertising, news reporting, entertainment or other activities. Entry into the Festival and/or purchase of an admission ticket constitutes your consent for the Mayfaire Renaissance Festival to use the pictures and films without payment in any manner for any purpose they desire.
The Festival Site is fairly accessible for wheelchairs, however, it is in an outdoor setting so please use caution.. Mayfaire Renaissance Festival does not have wheelchairs for rent. We do, however make sure that there are several accessible privies available for use.
